In 2006 and 2007 I worked as student worker at the Communology GmbH, where developed software for mobile devices (J2ME, J2SE, J2EE) and did research for the LOMS project, a collaborative research project funded by the European Union to develop new ideas and approaches on location-based mobile services. The ultimate goal of this project was to develop a powerful and easy-to-use platform, which allows the definition of location-based services for mobile devices. The visionary concepts resulting from this project are nowadays available for everybody, e.g. on iOS and Android smartphones.
During this time, I've gained experiences with real Java software development for mobile devices as well as the definition and implementation of web services (SOA) using WSDL and JWSDP and development and deployment using the Apache Tomcat application server.
